The PCI DSS (Data Security Standard) is a set of 12 requirements that all
merchants that process or transmit sensitive credit card information must adhere
to, or risk hefty fines and penalties. The Acquiring Banks are under increasing
pressure to ensure that all new and existing merchants are PCI compliant.
Using our Payment Gateway you could mitigate many of the most difficult
compliance issues through a system called Tokenization, which can be easily and
affordably integrated into your existing procedures. All your sensitive payment
data is encrypted using a randomly generated, totally unique ID number or
‘token’. The token will give you access to your customer records, to search,
view or even export your data for accounting and management purposes.
Tokenization can also be implemented for recurring billing processing.
Because the responsibility to protect card holder data is shifted to LPS and
its PCI Level 1 DSS environment, the cost and time of gaining your own PCI
compliance can be reduced by as much as 90%.
